A Field Guide for Stargazing
Perth Festival

ART DIRECTION, DESIGN, EDITING, COPY EDITING, PRINT PRODUCTION

Commissioned by Annika Kristensen at Perth Festival, A Field Guide for Stargazing is a companion to and compendium of the festival’s Visual Arts Program for 2023—its 70th year. Responding to the festival’s thematic of Djinda (a Noongar word meaning ‘star’), the publication features original writing by Noongar writer and researcher Cass Lynch, artistic responses by Sara Morawetz and Patrick Pound, and a republished piece of fiction by Anna Dunnill.

Cover artwork is taken from Pound's work, Constellation: from the observatory of unhinged planets.

Special thanks to the team at Perth Festival, the contributors, and the artists and galleries in the 2023 program. This project was made possible through the generous support of Wesfarmers Arts.
